Phosphate sludge: opportunities for use as a fertilizer in deficient.

چکیده

Phosphate sludge (PS) is an industrial by-product produced in huge quantities by the phosphate beneficiation plants Morocco. In order to valorize this by-product, it was examined for its potential use as a soil fertilizer. The physicochemical properties, elemental and mineral content, morphological structure, component stability of raw PS were investigated. addition, pathogenicity, phytotoxicity, capacity promote plant growth deficient sandy have been studied. obtained results showed that characterized low values moisture (2.10%), electrical conductivity (EC) (0.77 mS/cm), organic matter (OM) (0.61%), with slightly alkaline pH (8.20). Nevertheless, material carried interesting content fertilizing elements such phosphorus (P2O5) 20.01%, calcium (CaO) 39.72%, magnesium (MgO) 2.33%. Thus, did not present any pathogenic or phytotoxic risk high increase tomato than control only soil. conclusion, study could provide primary practical guidance application soils texture.

Sewage Sludge Ash To Phosphate Fertilizer By Thermochemical Treatment

A rotary reactor and a fluidized bed reactor (both laboratory-scale and operated in batch mode) are used for the treatment of granulates containing SSA and CaCl ) and treating this mixture (possible after granulation) in a rotary kiln at 1000±100°C leads to the formation of volatile heavy metal compounds which evaporate and to Pphases with a high bio-availability. Due to economical and ecologic...

Prospects of Using Phosphate Solubilizing Pseudomonas as Bio Fertilizer

Phosphorus deficiency is a major constraint to crop production due to rapid binding of the applied phosphorus into fixed forms not available to the plants. This work was carried out to explain the release of soluble phosphates and its effect on plant growth as a function of phosphate solubilization by fluorescent Pseudomonas. In the current study, Pseudomonas fluorescens K 34 solubilized trical...

Recycling Zinc Phosphate Sludge

he cost of sludge disposal can contribute significantly to the cost of product manufacturing. An opportunity exists to eliminate this cost of land disposal of sludge resulting from the zinc phosphate pretreatment process. In addition, the cost of the phosphating process may be reduced by reclaiming this sludge to a zinc-phosphate replenishment solution and other useful products. For those not f...

Recycling gamma irradiated sewage sludge as fertilizer: A case study using onion (Alium cepa)

Recycling sewage sludge into fertilizer for agricultural purposes may improve soil fertility by influencing the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the land. However, there is concern regarding elevated levels of heavy metals and pathogenic microorganisms, which may result from the use of untreated sewage sludge. Gamma radiation is found to be an efficient tool in the hygienization...
